Anthelmintics are tablets Drontal cats ( roundworms and tapeworms ) for veterinary use to treat infestations in cats.

For the treatment of mixed infections with roundworms and flat ( roundworms and tapeworms ) in cats. Since one tapeworm infestation may not occur in the cat as soon until the third week of life , treatment with Drontal is not indicated until after the third week of life of the animal .

COMPOSITION .
Each tablet contains 230.0 mg pyrantel pamoate (80 mg pyrantel base). Praziquantel 20.0 mg .

PROPERTIES .
Drontal is an anthelmintic for round worms and flat ( nematodes and cestodes ) whose active ingredients are derived pyrazinoisoquinoline , praziquantel, and derivative tetrahidropridina , pyrantel ( as pamoate salt her ) .
This fixed combination acts against worms praziquantel levels, and their spectrum of activity covers all important cestode species of cat , particularly Hydatigera ( Taenia ) taeniaefomis , Joyeuxiella spp , Dipylidium canium , Mesocestoides spp and Echinococcus multilocularis . Praziquantel acts on all stages of the development of these intestinal parasites of the cat.
Pyrantel is the specific active substance for roundworms and has good Good efficacy against important nematode cat in particular Toxocara cati ( syn. mytax ) Toxasarisleonina and Ancylostoma spp. Praziquantel is rapidly absorbed through the surface of the parasite , and are regularly distributed in its interior.

DOSAGE .
Oral administration .
The dose is 5 mg to 57.5 mg of praziquantel and pyrantel embonate ( pamoate 20 mg of base) per kg body weight . This corresponds to 1 tablet in 4 kg of body weight.
